From time to time you’ll have most probably received an error 408 in Google Chrome. This error is absolutely normal behavior with Snapt.
Modern browsers now have some advanced features such as “TCP pre-connect” and this allows the browser to open TCP connections to web servers before you browse/visit the page. The purpose is to speed up the browsing experience for the user.
When Snapt receives the “TCP pre-connect” request. It will then also expect a full request in the next few seconds. If the request is not received after some time, the server or the proxy can close the connection and report a 408 error to the client.
