Snapt One: Exchange 2010 Load Balancing

Snapt One provides an automatic wizard for configuration load balancers for Microsoft Exchange 2010, 2013 and 2016. To use the wizard navigate to the Balancer -> Create a load balancer menu item and then choose Exchange.

Creating Your Group

Once you select the Exchange Wizard you will be taken to a page where you must complete the following tasks:

  1. Specify an IP address to listen on
  2. Set a name for your group (for reporting, alerts, etc)
  3. Add the Exchange servers IP addresses.

This can be seen below. It is important to specify an IP and not use Any as the port 25 bind can clash with our local email daemon.

Microsoft Exchange 2010 Requirements

Microsoft Exchange 2010 requires you to specify static ports for the virtual load balancer to use. Snapt One defaults to using the range 60000 to 60002. To set these static ports please follow this Technet GuideThis is only required for Microsoft Exchange 2010, NOT 2013 or 2016.
