Snapt One and VMware Introduction

Snapt has already collaborated with VMware on certifying Snapt through the VMware Ready program and has achieved full certifications for both ESXi 6,0 and 6,5. This program ensures that all VMware Ready applications have been thoroughly tested and thus means that Snapt performs to the highest level.

Let’s Get Started

Installing Snapt One on VMware is very simple. Follow the steps below to get Snapt One up and running in just a few clicks.

Step 1: Download

Download the latest ESX / ESXi / VSphere OVF from our Downloads portal.

Step 2: Deploy

By default, Snapt One will run on 1vCPU and 2GB RAM. These are the minimum requirements to efficiently run Snapt One, but this will also depend on your underlying hardware. We suggest selecting 2vCPU’s and 2GB RAM for the best experience. Also, ensure that you select a network interface for Snapt One as you’ll use your web browser to configure Snapt One once you have deployed the OVF.

Step 3: Authentication

Before you can access the Snapt One Dashboard, you’ll need to authenticate and serialize your install. Please use your Shop Account Details for this.

After you’ve authenticated your install, you’ll be presented with the Snapt One Admin Portal login screen. The default username is “admin” and password “admin”. We do advise changing this on your first log in.

Step 4: Plugin Installs

Now that you’ve logged in to the system for the first time, you will need to get started by installing a plugin. Navigate to Setup > Modules & Plugins > Add Plugins

Here you can install all of the plugins you might need. All Snapt licenses include the full product suite, so you will have access to all plugins listed.

Tip: For the full Snapt One ADC suite, you’ll need to install the follow set of plugins: Load Balancer, Web Accelerator, WAF
