Snapt Aria Mitigate mode is an optional setting that can be found under the Web Application Firewall settings.
Mitigate mode can then be enabled or disabled on your Snapt Aria instance.
As soon as you enable this we apply a set of rules to limit the number of requests clients can make to the site. This is designed to keep a site online while blocking a DoS attempt.
You should not just leave sites in this mode!
Once activated we will apply the following rules –
- 5 requests per second per IP, a burst of 120
- 60 requests per minute, a burst of 300
- Maximum of 10 active connections per IP
You can create your own request zones in the Snapt Aria Web Accelerator to apply more customized limits.
